Wes Montgomery-SKJ

This month’s transcription is the classic tune “SKJ” from Wes’s album, Bags Meets Wes.  The solo is over a blues in Db with a twist-the 8th and 9th bars feature a ii-V-I in D major.  This solo is entirely in octaves.  It’s full of great licks to add to your jazz guitar vocabulary, but is also just a blast to play start to finish.
