The 80/20 Principle says that 80% of the the results come from 20% of the effort.  It’s seen throughout life – from roads to sports to customers to music.

There’s a myth that it takes hours and hours and hours to learn jazz.  Part of that is true – it does take hours and hours to master the music.  BUT you can start sounding like an authentic jazz guitarist quickly by focusing on the 20% of things that make the most difference.  That’s where 80/20 Jazz Guitar comes in!

This book focuses on the 20 things (in the spirit of the 20%) that will move the needle in your practice time.  I have a family, a job, and other responsibilities.  I understand that it’s unrealistic for someone in that situation to spend 4 hours a day practicing so finding the things that make the biggest difference in your practice time is extremely important.

You’ll learn

20 Jazz Guitar Licks from the masters (Wes, Pat Martino, Jim Hall, Scofield, etc)
20 Classic Jazz Rhythms
20 Theory Topics that you need to know
20 Exercises to get your improvisation chops in shape
20 Creative Limiting exercises
20 Suggested books, recordings, solos to transcribe, and tunes to learn

You’ll Get Bonuses as well

In addition to the 100+ page PDF 80/20 Jazz Guitar Book
30 Audio Examples of licks and exercises
8 Backing Tracks
3 Printable PDFs of chord and scale fingerings

My Promise

In order to work this way you have to tune out the noise.  You have to decide to put away the other books and music, and focus on just a few things.  That’s the whole premise of 80/20.  If you work through 80/20 Jazz Guitar in the way it was designed, I guarantee you that you will see huge improvements in your jazz guitar playing.

In fact, if you are unsatisfied with the book, let me know and I’ll refund your money no questions asked.  It’s risk free!

    Sam,
Just book sounds like it’s a great way to go. Need your honest opinion. I don’t play guitar, I play pedal steel and have a fair command of jazz and jazz chords. obviously, the tab will do me no good. Don’t know if you include notation, but I’m not much of a reader.if you want to tackle this book with basically nothing but the audio cord charts do you thinkit would still be effective? That your introductory price, probably can’t go wrong. Thanks

    • Sam says:

Hi Jack – first of all there is notation for everything EXCEPT the chord voicings. Those are just fingerings. I also play a bit of steel! Send me an email once you get a chance and let’s chat.
